Excellent collections inside impressive architectural gems

Many Oakland museums are as impressive seen from the outside, as their collections. For instance, the building of the Oakland Museum of California is an admirable piece of architecture, and the exhibits, dedicated to the art, history, and culture of California, are excellent. The African American Museum & Library is another excellent museum in Oakland, and so are the Peralta Museum of History and Culture, the Museum of Children’s Art, and the Oakland Aviation Museum.
