Exquisite acoustics
Designes in the late 19th century by Giovan Battista Filippo Basile, a genius Italian architect, Teatro Massimo is a cultural venue and opera house of great importance on the Palermo cultural scene, the largest opera house in Italy and the third largest in Europe.
The opening, delayed by more than two decades from the foundation stone, was marked by a Verdi concert. Important concerts, theater and opera performance are written in the history of the famous opera house, with neoclassical architecture and elements borrowed from the Greek temples.
