Studio of visual and performing arts
Studio Harmonic is a school of visual and performing arts, and is full of talent. It’s located on Sarah Lawrence’s home campus and is a school for both amateurs and professional dancers. Part of its claim to fame is teacher Laure Courellemont who specializes in a unique form of dance.
The dance that Courtellemont specializes in is called raggajam which is a unique blend of hip hop and Afro-Caribbean dance. Although Studio Harmonic might not be the right venue for everyone (not everyone wants to learn to dance) they periodically put on performances that are top-notch and really exemplify the great teachings of Courtellemont and others just like her.
