Montescudaio was the ancient monastic seat of the Benedictines, a village with a rich history, founded at the end of the 12th century. The village overlooks the Valley of Cecina and boasts beautiful views of the islands of the Tuscan Archipelaqo as far as the mountains of Corsica.
Montescudaio is an ideal place for a serene family vacation, away from the hustle and bustle of the crowded cities. There are many agritourism bed and breakfasts, traditional farms welcoming guests with original Tuscan cuisine and regional wines. In fact, Montescudaio is famous for its red wines, produced from the vineyards of the nearby hills.
