Architectural church of the baroque style
The Church of St. Nicholas (Chram svateho Mikulase) is done in the baroque style, as are many places of worship throughout Prague. As one of the finest examples of the high baroque era during the mid-18th century, the church bears influence from north of the Alps, and now bears a recognizable dome, which wasn’t part of the original design.
As part of the known Prague skyline, the Church of St. Nicholas (Chram svateho Mikulase)has also seen the effects of time and weather, though that is all forgotten once you step inside. Plenty of marble, frescoes, statues, gold, columns and altars offer a plethora of architectural and design detail to take in during your visit.
