Elegant and sequestered
The Czech Parliament, fond of posh trappings, rules from inside the Wallenstein Palace, though its ornate formal gardens are open to the public from spring to autumn and give little hint as to the power plays going on next door.
Meanwhile, the Wallenstein Riding School gave up equestrian arts long ago in favour of excellent art and historical exhibitions – all handily located just outside the exit of the Malostranská metro station.
