Modern meets traditional in grand old Prague

Whilst many European cities have gradually modernised and adapted a 21st century look, Prague excels as changing with the times whilst remaining postcard old-beautiful. Strolling around you get a sense of Prague’s rich and troubled history, but the café culture of old meets the new cosmopolitan desire to embrace the weekend-away spirit. As for shopping, you can still unearth beautiful craftsmanship and wonderful jewellery.

Stay Editor's Note

A sister café to the one in Malá Strana, this is the quieter, gentler PopoCafePetl MC, but not by much. Regulars fill the space till the wee hours.

They’re not here for fine service or beers, but somehow the place has always got a buzz, with its mix of local bohemians and decadent expats.
