The Old Ironsides Nightclub is a family owned nightclub, bar & restaurant that has become a tradition in Sacramento. Started way back in the 1930’s, the nightclub was the first spot to get a liquor license after prohibition. So, you can imagine how popular it became, and quickly.
The modern era brought “the cocktail hour”, 5 martini lunches by area politicians, and today the club shows off some of the best talent in the area along with the booze.
Of course the place has maintained it’s historic flavor, but don’t expect to be bored to tears listening to stories of the “heyday” - the club is thoroughly modern. Tuesday nights are for lipstick indie rock, pop & electronic dance parties, and solid DJ goings on.
