Community beach featuring interesting attractions

Mission Beach is famous for its attractions, including the SeaWorld (in Mission Bay Park) and the Belmont Park. The beach spans nearly two miles of ocean front and offers many outdoors recreation opportunities and other activities such as sunbathing, surfing, bicycling, skateboarding and more.

Mission Beach is the most densely developed residential community in San Diego. Many of its residences were built in the 1930s and ‘40s as summer cottages, and redeveloped later into two-story homes. Thong bikinis are illegal on the beach, alcohol consumption has been prohibited since 2008, and nudity is not allowed.
