A ghostly past revealed
Sorrel-Weed House, circa 1840, is perhaps Savannah’s most famous home. Situated on Madison Square, it was the first home in Georgia made an historic landmark. Colonial Park Cemetery is just a stone’s throw from this 16,000 square-foot mansion, believed to be haunted since Sherman’s march to the sea.
Visitors can take the guided day tour, or opt for the ghost tour variant which has become a sort of Savannah tradition. Aside the famous ghosts, the gardens here will leave a lasting impression on the visitor. The house is open daily from 9 AM.
