Museums in Savannah

A love for art and history

Savannah loves the arts, and this is reflected in many of its museums. The Telfair Museum of Art traces its history back to 1886, and it is one of the most popular attractions of its kind in Savannah. Museums less popular, yet very interesting are the Savannah History Museum; the Davenport House Museum and the Ships of the Sea Maritime Museum. Other than these museums, there’s not much to mention, except that Savannah itself, with all its gorgeous historic buildings and squares could be considered a museum.
