A researcher's dream come true
Thousands of researchers visit The Georgia Historical Society in search of Georgia history. Founded in 1839, the society has a mission to not only preserve Georgia history, but to assist historians in discovering it. If it is documentation you seek, it’s likely here in these massive archives.
Visitors can expect to get access to one of the most expansive collection of 18th, 19th and 20th Century manuscripts, maps, images, and other documents to be found anywhere. The society also coordinates Georgia’s historical marker and other programs. Don’t miss the chance to stop by and at least view this collection.
