The heart of the country
Cheongwadae is the president’s residence and regarded as the center of the entire country. The complex includes the presidential offices, reception and conference rooms, living quarters and annexes.
A former royal villa for future to be queens, the complex has been rebuilt and its beautiful architecture is reason for pride and awe. Reservations with 10 days in advance and comfortable shoes are required for the 7-stop tours that ends at the Cheongwadae Fountain, the place where the parade of the Guards of Honor take place every Saturday.
