Authentic Peranakan cuisine
Kim Choo’s Kitchen traces its history back to the 1940s when Lee Kim Choo founded it to sell her popular traditional Nonya rice dumplings. The restaurant still features Kim Choo’s signature dish, plus a few additional classics such as Beef Rendang, Ayam Goreng, Babi Pongteh and more.
Kim Choo’s Kitchen remained in the family and it is currently run by Madam Lim’s daughter-in-law. The restaurant is particularly popular during the Dumpling Festival, when the chefs perform live demonstrations of wrapping the rice dumplings.
The restaurant is home to one of the largest Peranakan porcelain plate collections in Singapore.
