Latomia del Paradiso

A man-made cave dug here has produced a strange touristic effect, people come from all over to hear the massive echoes inside the cave caused out of some weird acoustic effect.

The interesting aspect of this story is that legend took hold because of this “echo” effect, one suggesting that Dionysus locked up opponents here so that he could hear all their speeches. Ergo, the cave soon became the “speech cave”.
