A city oasis
Founded in 1859, the Missouri Botanical Garden is the nation’s oldest botanical garden in continuous operation and a National Historic Landmark. “MoBot” features 79 acres, including a 14-acre Japanese strolling garden and one of the world’s largest collections of rare and endangered orchids.
With so much to see and enjoy, Missouri Botanical Garden recommends a minimum of three hours for your complete tour of the Garden. A complete visit requires walking that could total one mile, or more. Wheelchairs are available on a first-come, first-served basis.
