Breathtaking views and Nobel pomp
Stockholm’s Stadshuset (City Hall) is one of the city’s most recognisable landmarks, with its tall red-brick tower rising above the waters of Riddarfjärden Sound.
Guided tours of the building, built in 1923, take you through the Council Chamber, but more importantly the magnificent Blue Hall where the Nobel Prize banquet is held every 10 December. Be sure to climb the 106m (348ft) tower, offering the best view of the city anywhere.
