Everything made of ice
Absolut Icebar was established in 2002 and is the world’s first permanent icebar. It is located at the Nordic Sea Hotel in Stockholm, and is an absolute magical place to visit. Everything in the bar is made of the clearest ice imaginable.
Seating, ice sculptures, and even drinking glasses are specially designed from ice taken from the Torne River in Jukkasjarvi in northern Sweden. When you enter this bar, you are given specially designed coats and gloves so you will be comfortable in this frozen environment.
The interior temperature is minus 5 degrees Celsius (23 Fahrenheit). The clothes also serve the purpose of preventing your body heat from melting the interior. The concept of the icebar is to convey the essence of the Arctic Swedish Lapland.
