Sydney's hotel choice is huge, but it comes at a price
Pricey five-star hotels cluster around Sydney’s CBD (Central Business District), from the celeb-friendly Park Hyatt to the huge rooms of the Shangri-La. But there are also boutique gems including the quirky Medusa in Darlinghurst. Backpackers, and the new blingpackers who demand a bit of design edge with their dormitory bunks, are best served near Central Station. For family value, rent a serviced apartment or beach house.
