Award-winning Mod Oz eaterie in Surry Hills
Bird Cow Fish’s head chef and co-owner Alex Herbert worked alongside some of Sydney’s finest – Maggie Beer, Christine Manfield and David Thompson – before opening her own Mod Oz bistro, café and provedore in Surry Hills with partner Howard Gardner in 2006.
Feast on signature gnocchi with sautéed prawn meat, burnt butter, verjuice, capers and sage, or crisp-skinned Barossa Valley chicken confit, and pop upstairs to the excellent espresso bar and cheese cabinet.
