Readying hotels in time for the 2006 winter Olympics meant a mad dash for lots of new hotels and hotel refurbishments in Turin. Now that the opening creases have been ironed out, it’s good news for the tourist. Today you can sleep in a renovated modernist five-star, save money in better quality budget accommodation, or walk past a Miro bronze and a Warhol print on the way to breakfast in the city’s Art Hotel.
