They say that the women from a Moorish king´s harem loved to bathe here, because the water’s magic properties kept them young and beautiful. This could still be true, as many beautiful women still visit the hot springs in Montanejos 90 km up north from Valencia.
Everyone in Montanejos knows where to find the hot springs. For many travelers, these are still one of Valencia’s best kept secrets - and if you are not into swimming and snorkeling, there’s not much to do here, other than taking pictures of an incredibly picturesque area and enjoying the traditional cuisine of the region.
