Romanesque style church

The first church at the site of Chiesa di San Lorenzo was built in the fourth century, but it was destroyed in the January 1117 earthquake. What stands today is a church built in the early XII century in Romanesque style.

Chiesa di San Lorenzo was famous for its tower bells, tuned to play in the “Bells at the Veronese” style. At a time, they were considered the most beautiful bells in Verona. Today, unfortunately, you can no longer hear them play - they’ve been left in ruin since 1963.
