Traditional restaurants are always the better choice
The Veronese are keen eaters of horse-meat (cavallo), but you don’t have to try it if it turns you off. Just remember what cavallo means, and be careful when you order. Remember that, although you are in Italy, pizza is not a tradition in Verona. Restaurants serve authentic, unpretentious Veronese cuisine, accompanied by excellent local wines. There are some international restaurants as well, but don’t count on these for the same value, and quality as offered by traditional Veronese restaurants.
