Breezy Mediterranean bistro
Ella’s trades in what Greek owner Eleftherios Dermitzakis calls ‘Mediterranean soul food’. Located in a former beisl on the picturesque Judenplatz, Ella’s uses excellent Cretan olive oil to give a stamp of authenticity to its seafood dishes.
Pastas, risottos and excellent roast lamb, are also heftily garnished to please voracious local taste. The interior is all contemporary cool with a gorgeous summer terrace – somehow strange beside Rachel Whiteread’s Holocaust memorial.
