Beautiful ethnographic park and City Hall
The Museum of the Mazovian Countryside (Muzeum Wsi Mazowieckiej) is a complex comprising an ethnographic park outside Sierpc, and the 19th-century City Hall in the centre of the town. From the two, the most interesting is the ethnographic park, occupying a picturesque area on the Sierpienica river.
The ethnographic park at the Museum of the Mazovian Countryside features 80 examples of wooden architecture of the north-west Mazovia region, including peasant homes, a tavern, a blacksmith shop, a windmill, a chapel and a church. The interiors are decorated to document the rural life from the 1920s to the 1950s.
