Long considered the land of pencil-pushing politicos and buttoned-up barristers, Washington, DC is definitely loosening up. Formerly sketchy neighborhoods like Logan's Circle and Chinatown have been revitalized and are teeming with always-booked eateries, eclectic galleries, and late-night live music. Old standbys like Georgetown and Adams Morgan have also received a punch of energy with their UN-pleasing amount of ethnic eateries, mix of dive bars and hoity-toity lounges, and even, gasp, a Barneys NY Co-op!
