A splashy scene
It used to be that you had to slouch your way into one of Dupont Circle’s close-quartered brownstones to take in the Washington art galleries scene. Luckily, a recent burst of development has taken place and new venues are larger and more open and, dare we say, New York-style lofty? The galleries along 14th Street are about as close as you can get to Soho without crossing the GW Bridge.
