One of the oldest observatories in the world
Step inside one of the oldest public observatories in the world – visit the Urania Observatory. Built in 1907, this antique observatory is maintained and administered by a local university.
Guests at the Urania Observatory are more than welcome to take a look through the 30 centimeter (12 inch) refractors telescope, allowing you to see the moon and the planets in our solar system with your own eyes.
You can also see some of the binary stars, star clusters and galactic nebulae at the Urania Observatory. Meanwhile, gazing back down at Earth, you can experience a panoramic view of the city, of Lake Zurich, The Alps and more. You can also get a tour guide for more information.
