The capital of the South

Luxury mega-malls, the World of Coca-Cola, and world-class museums are just some of what make Atlanta an attractive travel destination for so many Americans and foreign visitors. Atlanta also offers lesser-known attractions that define the soul of the city, like Victorian buildings and historical landmarks, a rich assortment of skyscrapers, gorgeous parks, and year-round festivals. Atlanta will keep you busy for days, but even those who spend just a few hours here will never forget the pearl of Georgia.

If you want to be a little more adventurous with your culinary pallet then I suggest heading over to Holeman & Finch. I recommended starting with one of their cocktails and then ordering a few small plates to share. Some of my favorites are the classic cocktail, Morning Glory Fizz that has hints of lemon and absinthe in it and then try the killer steak tartare. You’ll be left wanting more! And if you are feeling even more courageous then order off of their parts menu. The tongue and testies are superb!

The burger is small but sturdy, on a great house-made bun. Used to be you could only get this coveted gem in a mad dash after 10 p.m. Now you can get it at brunch or even at Turner Field.

Stay.com Editors' Note

Holeman and Finch Public House is a popular gastropub, serving unusual menus, and some intriguing foods, like fried tripe, marrow, veal brains, tongue and other “parts.” As odd as it may sound, these foods are highly nutritious, and delicious.

Holeman and Finch Public House also service an outstanding griddled burger. The menu is complete with a variety of cocktails, whiskeys, beer and wine.
