The capital of the South

Luxury mega-malls, the World of Coca-Cola, and world-class museums are just some of what make Atlanta an attractive travel destination for so many Americans and foreign visitors. Atlanta also offers lesser-known attractions that define the soul of the city, like Victorian buildings and historical landmarks, a rich assortment of skyscrapers, gorgeous parks, and year-round festivals. Atlanta will keep you busy for days, but even those who spend just a few hours here will never forget the pearl of Georgia.

Now, who doesn’t love a good pizza? Antico is where you need to go for a pizza that tastes like it was made fresh in Italy. It has to be one of the best pizza places in Atlanta, hands down! They bake their pizzas one way and one way only with a little char to the crust which gives the dough a wonderful soft but crunchy crust. Bonus points are that it’s BYOB so you can enjoy your pizza with your favorite beverage of choice. Try the San Gennaro. It has salsiccia, sweet red pepper, bufala, and cipolline on it and also happens to be my favorite.

Stay.com Editors' Note

Antico is the ideal destination in Atlanta for authentic Neapolitan pizza. They have most of the traditional Neapolitan favorites: Margherita, Marinara, Bianca, Capricciosa, Diavola and Pomodorini.

Antico also serves specialty pizzas, calzoni Napoletana, homemade cannoli and sfogliatelle. The restaurant is pretty popular, and is often crowded.
