Vivacious, ambitious, industrious: Barcelona is second to none

This cool, cosmopolitan metropolis is the bastion of Catalan nationalism and one of the greatest port cities on the Mediterranean. Barcelona’s distinct culture finds exuberant expression in its architecture – in the sinuous swirls of its Modernista buildings, in the other-worldly weirdness of Park Güell and in the soaring spires of the Sagrada Família. A stroll along the Rambla, Barcelona’s famed promenade, reveals a city of irrepressible energy and a proud and unique identity.

Quirky neighborhood cocktail bar Editors' Note

Châtelet is a very popular Gracia bar, serving cocktails, tapas and bar snacks. Vintage-style décor, a friendly, lively atmosphere and good music make Châtelet a great place to sample Gracia’s vibrant nightlife. Big windows opening onto the street make for perfect people-watching whilst sipping on a Margarita (rumored to be some of the best you’ll find in Gracia).

The bar is quite small, so arrive early if you want a table. Tasty Spanish brunch buffet is also available on Saturdays and Sundays from 12pm. Young, artistic and fun crowd; a great place for both groups and couples.
