Vivacious, ambitious, industrious: Barcelona is second to none

This cool, cosmopolitan metropolis is the bastion of Catalan nationalism and one of the greatest port cities on the Mediterranean. Barcelona’s distinct culture finds exuberant expression in its architecture – in the sinuous swirls of its Modernista buildings, in the other-worldly weirdness of Park Güell and in the soaring spires of the Sagrada Família. A stroll along the Rambla, Barcelona’s famed promenade, reveals a city of irrepressible energy and a proud and unique identity.

An emblematic restaurant of Barcelona, quite intimate, where market cuisine goes upscale with a touch of perfection in every single aspect. What I love most of this place is the passion of the owners and their dedication to each client who sits at their tables.

Excellent seasonal Catalan cuisine Editors' Note

Ca l´Isidre is a traditional, family restaurant that mixes traditional Mediterranean with farm-to-fork cuisine, all recreated to satisfy contemporary exigencies.

Ca l´Isidre it was founded in 1970 by Isidre Gironès and his wife, and has been a Barcelona favorite and landmark ever since. The restaurant is still family owned and run.

An interesting trivia fact: Ca l´Isidre was one of the favorite dining venues of Woody Allen and Scarlett Johansson, when they filmed Vicky Cristina Barcelona.
