Unusual mix of darkness and beauty

Lost in time – that’s how you feel in the heart of Bruges, Europe’s best preserved medieval city. This is a dreamy city that could convert the most modern poet into a romantic: nothing upsets the peace and equilibrium of this medieval destination - no high rises, rare neon lights and hardly any blights of modern development. A waffle stall on every corner, romantic carriages on every street, and an airy main square with 47 chiming bells are just some of the city’s unique features.

Tour Guide

Hidden in a small street near the market square. Beautiful list of different Belgian beers from small breweries. Famous Trappist beers and Geuze, a typical Belgian flavor.

Trappist beers and good food Editors' Note

Café Rose Red is a heartwarming, cozy cafe located in the center of Bruges. Although it is so close to the tourist area, it is secluded, on a side street, offering you a welcome escape from the crowds, and a peaceful environment to enjoy authentic local beers.

Café Rose Red specializes in Trappist beers, and offers all the beers recommended as Authentic Trappist: six are produced in Belgium; and one in The Netherlands.
