Host of the annual Cannes Film Festival

It hosts one of the most prestigious International film festivals in the world, but Cannes is more than a travel destination for filmophiles. Fashionistas and fun-seekers will find an exclusive city with high-end restaurants, exotic nightlife, luxury boutiques, and designer fashion shops lining La Croisette. Cannes is an amazing experience for the posh traveler, but it attracts history lovers as well, as no other town on the French Riviera has such a dramatic and mysterious past. One example? The famous Man in the Iron Mask was imprisoned on the Ile Sainte-Marguerite, half a mile off shore from the city.

One of the more enjoyable ways to explore Cannes is via the wonderful Petits Trains de Cannes, a little train that passes by all of the city’s well known sights.

The Petits Trains de Cannes tour begins along the famous Cannes beach front, passing by luxury hotels and superb facades, before stopping off at the wonderful Palais de Festivals.

Alternatively, you can take the second option (there are two routes) and journey Petits Trains de Cannes along the old town route of Suquet.
