See Dublin through the eyes of a proud Dubliner

There are many sides to Dublin and even if you’re visiting for only a few days, you’ll probably see them all. Because of the city’s compact size, prosperity and poverty live side by side, especially around the north inner city. However, most Dubliners take a real pride in their city. With good reason, too, as it has so much to offer, from great shopping to world-class galleries and museums. And, ofcourse, a fantastic pub scene.

Big outdoor area with an old converted bus that serves pizza. Pool table which tends to have more people sitting on it then actually playing pool! Cool spot.

Bar, cafe and music spot Editors' Note

The Bernard Shaw is a place full of surprises. The first part looks a bit like a normal pub, but with the great smell of freshly baked pizzas. When you walk a further, you can go downstairs for more tables and space, but the real cool thing is in the backyard: the bus!

Music plays a central role at The Bernard Show and there’s usually great live music or a DJ. Add the great selection of cheap beers, a funky crowd, cool art and good food, and there you go: a brilliant place in the heart of Dublin.

They organize artistic events too, so make sure you check their schedule.
