See Dublin through the eyes of a proud Dubliner

There are many sides to Dublin and even if you’re visiting for only a few days, you’ll probably see them all. Because of the city’s compact size, prosperity and poverty live side by side, especially around the north inner city. However, most Dubliners take a real pride in their city. With good reason, too, as it has so much to offer, from great shopping to world-class galleries and museums. And, ofcourse, a fantastic pub scene.

Having lived in Mexico for the last 5 years I can say without a doubt that this is the most realistic Mexican food I’ve had since being back in Europe. With it’s quirky cantina style wall tiles and decor plus real Mexican beer and I’m not talking about Corona! This place is great for a fun and spicy evening meal.

Taqueria style food and cocktails Editors' Note

For those of you looking for a taqueria style, quirky place, 777 is for you! The decor is funky and edgy, the staff is super friendly and the tacos are delish. The long cocktail list is appealing too, especially on Mondays, when it’s Margarita Monday.

Sundays are popular here too, as they have a variety of taco dishes available for only 7.77 euros. From the outside the place looks shut down, but don’t let that change your mind. Grab a place at the bar, order a cocktail, and indulge in honest, Mexican food.
