Malaysia’s alpha city

Kuala Lumpur is a relatively young city, built around a sleepy Chinese tin-mining village. It grew spectacularly, from rural-community to world-class metropolis in only 150 years. The city is packed with attractions waiting to be discovered. It’s hot, humid and crowded, but travelers flock here to enjoy the depth of Malaysian culture in its richness and variety. Kuala Lumpur is a city of opportunities, with a large palette of activities for the entire family – from sports to spas, nightclubs to family fun.

Leisure time shopping Editors' Note

Located in the outskirts of Kuala Lumpur, Cheras Leisure Mall is another shopping mall that is frequented by the locals most notably for shopping, dining and watching movies.

Just like any typical mall, Cheras Leisure Mall can satisfy all your shopping needs from fashion to computer accessories. One of the advantages in going to this shopping mall is that there are plenty of souvenir shops. Although not that popular among tourists, locals go to this place as it keeps a suburban feel unlike the other malls.

Cheras Leisure Mall operates from 10AM to 10PM daily and there are about 160 retail stores inside including numerous brands from around the world. This mall is a hangout for local teenagers and easily accessible by way of public transportation.
