The world's most popular city destination

They say size isn’t everything – but it helps. With a population of over 8.5 million, London is nothing if not a city of diversity. The city has restaurants offering every type of cuisine imaginable, the world’s leading museums and galleries, some of the planet’s hottest nightclubs and bars, and a multitude of unique family activities. Tens of millions of visitors a year can’t be wrong.

Stay.com Editors' Note

Hootananny Brixton has been making quite a name for itself as a gig venue, with live music seven nights a week, including ska bands, pop, rock, reggae, salsa (plus classes) and folk nights.

It may not be the prettiest of venues, but it’s one of the best nights out south of the river. And despite it’s name, Hootananny is rather confusingly not a Scottish theme pub. Thankfully.
