Spain's complex capital
Once little more than a Roman way station and Moorish fort, Madrid owes much of its existence to the fickle patronage of the kings of Spain. The city’s transition from sleepy backwater to imperial capital and modern metropolis has been erratic, leaving Madrid with a complex personality. The crowded flea markets of the Rastro, the green spaces of the Retiro, the Habsburg pomp of Los Austrias and the bold vision of the new Reina Sofia museum are just some of the sides of this multi-faceted city.
A stylish place to catch tunes

This nightclub has a stylish look and character. The club is dedicated to sound, and plays a variety of house and techno music from Thursday to Saturday. Check Maxime out on Fridays for the mainstream, otherwise the tunes are pot luck. This is a favorite music club for the locals.
The Maxime club also presents special live performance on Sunday periodically. At these, guests can expect some fairly innovative sound, often produced by percussion artists. This is a nice club if you love music of an eclectic nature. The service and other amenities are excellent as well.
