Miami is truly the Magic City

Miami is a sometimes sandy, often surreal fusion of cultures, cocktails, and characters. More than just a beach town, it’s a city on the verge, where construction cranes compete with palm trees, and where multicultural city-slickers and jet-setters mix with pre-Castro Cubans to the tune of a Samba-soaked deep house remix. The result is as uniquely Miami as the neon-hued art deco relics standing proudly next to the burgeoning billion dollar Jetsons-esque architecture, and it’s all shaping this city’s future.

A haunted theater?

A haunted theater? Editors' Note

The beautiful Art Deco-Style Colony Theatre opened in 1935 as part of the Paramount Pictures theater chain. Equipped with state-of-the-art theatrical rigging and sound systems, and seating 460 spectators, the Colony is a must for movie aficionados.

But beware, like many buildings in the area, the Colony Theater has its share of paranormal activities. If you believe in ghosts, you may get to see the ghost of a white toy poodle, or a mysterious woman in 1930’s dress.
