Capital of chic

The French capital boasts some of the most instantly recognizable, iconic monuments in the world, with Notre Dame cathedral, the Louvre and the Eiffel Tower lined up in a great sweep along the River Seine. Yet for all its historic grandeur, elegant boulevards, world-class museums, chic boutiques and cosmopolitan buzz, Paris is also an intimate, intensely lived-in city, best discovered on foot. Each district has its own distinct style, bars, food market and village atmosphere.

Traveler reviews

A classy cabaret since 1949 Editors' Note

La Nouvelle Eve is an elegant cabaret located in the Montmartre area of Paris. The shows here are lively, colorful, and tastefully produced. They feature some nudity as well as the famous French Cancan. Patrons may enjoy a meal while watching the revue, or organize a private event party.

The theater in which La Nouvelle Eve resides was actually built in 1898, and it took its current name in 1949. Since that time a variety of dancing and musical performers have been dancing and singing their little hearts out. Because the theater is not extremely large, good seating is almost a guarantee for those who don’t want to miss a thing.
