Modern meets traditional in grand old Prague

Whilst many European cities have gradually modernised and adapted a 21st century look, Prague excels at changing with the times whilst remaining classically beautiful. Strolling around town, you get a sense of Prague’s rich and troubled history, but the culture of old-meets-new cosmopolitan desires to embrace the weekend-away spirit. As for shopping, unearth beautiful craftsmanship and wonderful jewelry.

One of the best zoos in Europe Editors' Note

The Prague Zoo (Zoo Praha) was opened to the public in 1931, but talks about its foundation date from back 1881 when count Sweerts-Spork published in the newspapers an appeal to establish a zoological garden in the city. In the years that followed the zoo grew to become one of the most important in Eastern Europe.

Together with a nearby botanical garden and a huge Fata Morgana greenhouse outside the city centre, the Prague Zoo (Zoo Praha) is one of the most important attractions in the city.
