America's most relaxed city

Called “The Paris of the West,” San Francisco is a city that wears its charms on its sleeve. With weeping views of the Bay and the Pacific coast from its famous hills, it’s also known as America’s foodie capital and one of the world’s intellectual hubs. From its true birth during the Gold Rush, the city by the Bay has been home to renegades, social movements and artists of all stripes. Don’t miss the vibrant Mission District, the famous hippie neighborhood of Haight-Ashbury, or the shopping Mecca of Union Square.

Yes, it’s a bar, but it has some of the best coffee in the Marina. During the day, they have wifi and it’s one of the few places where you can have meetings or sit and work. Their spreads are delicious, the espresso amazing, and the place has a special ambiance.

An interesting bar, cafe, and entertainment venue Editors' Note

The Interval at Long Now is not your ordinary bar. It is also a cafe, with a beautiful dining area, surrounded by filled bookshelves and interesting mechanical objects. The bar is set up inside the former military campus Fort Mason.

Among the most interesting things to admire at The Interval at Long Now, Brian Eno’s ambient painting is an ever-changing work of art, right behind the bar. The bar serves cocktails designed by Jennifer Colliau, fine coffee and teas, and snacks.
