Lovely gardens with a view of the bay Editors' Note

Located on the place of the former San Sebastian monastery, Palacio de Miramar was built on the orders of Queen Maria Cristina, as her residence.

With the style of the typical English countryside houses, Palacio de Miramar also incorporates neo-gothical elements, which is a tradition of the San Sebastian architecture. The layout the of the little palace is preserved, although the building has undergone several renovations. The ground floor is a reception area, with the formed bedrooms on the first floor and the servants' quarters on the second one. The large gardens surrounding Palacio de Miramar offer a beautiful view of the bay.
