Río Urumea as always been an important part of the city’s landscape, but also of the culture and spirit of the city.

Once the banks of Río Urumea housed mills, ports and steel constructions. After the city’s expansion in 1863, Río Urumea became the preferred area for residential buildings, beautiful parks and walking trails. Nowadays, alongside Urumea, you’ll find beautiful gardens, as well as important buildings of San Sebastian.
