Celebrating the city

Celebrating the city Editors' Note

For 24 hours straight, once a year, Dia de San Sebastian transforms the city into a huge drum, all the streets filling with the sounds of drums and barrels.

On the sound of Raymond Sarriegui, Dia de San Sebastian or La Tamborrada goes way back into the depths of history. Nobody really knows where this festival has started, but this day is happily celebrated by both locals and tourists, every single year with renewed vigor and passion. Every January 20th, the streets are full of more than 50 companies, participating in the parade.
