Russia's summer capital

The Iceberg Skating Palace is an impressive, 12,000 capacity, multi-purpose venue that has been built to host some of the events during the 2014 Winter Olympics. According to reports, its construction cost ran to some $44 million

The arena will stage skating events including figure skating and short track speed skating during the games, and before that, the 2013 Grand Prix of Figure Skating as a ‘test’ event prior to the Olympics. After the games, officials plan to convert the Iceberg Skating Palace into an exhibition hall.
