Russia's summer capital

In 2007 when it won the bid to host the 2014 Winter Olympics, Sochi was famous as the country’s Summer Capital, attracting over 4 million visitors every season. Today? This beautiful seaside resort is a year-round destination. And there’s plenty to add to your Sochi guide, from tours to see Stalinist period Empire Style buildings and monuments, to visits to the fortress; from strolling in the local parks, to learning more about the area in one of Sochi’s museums; and so on. Being a tourist destination, Sochi loves to party, and you will find plenty of things to entertain you. International-standard cuisine completes the experience.

Copacabana comes to Sochi

Copacabana comes to Sochi Editors' Note

Cleopatra Night Club is a semi-seedy little nightspot that seems to be frequented by a number of ‘freelance’ girls, so it may not be to everyone’s tastes. The club is situated in the basement of the Radisson SAS Lazurnaya hotel.

This place is always guaranteed to be fairly lively though, thanks to its regular shows and concerts featuring Russian pop stars. In fact, the shows are enough of a draw that plenty of regular folks come here to party as well.

There are three sections to Cleopatra Night Club, including a dark chill out room, a hectic dance room, and a restaurant-lounge style area where food is served with your cocktails and spirits. Kleopatra is popular with foreigners, mostly because a huge number of them stay in the hotel upstairs.
