A city for all seasons

Home of the Habsburgs, the capital of classical music, and the multicultural melting pot of Mitteleuropa, Vienna is one of Europe’s most fascinating cities. Its slow-paced life, architectural variety, and intensely seasonal cultural and gastronomic pleasures make Vienna an ideal destination for visitors. Get ready for balmy summer evenings at wine taverns, mugs of mulled wine at Christmas markets, and strolls through historic streets.

Famous Animals galore

Animals galore Editors' Note

Tiergarten Schönbrunn is the Vienna Zoo. Here you’ll find an assortment of animals, including a number of different monkeys, bats, hares, polar bears, meerkats and anteaters. The zoo also features the usual suspects, lions, cheetahs, elephants, rhinos and even some cute panda bears.

Tiergarten Schönbrunn features several “houses” which are designed to feature habitats. For example, you can enter a man-made mangrove swamp and see archer fish, otters and turtles. Other houses include the dripstone cave, the snake tree and the jungletop adventure, as well as a tropical thunderstorm section. It’s a lot of fun for the whole family.
